Cartridge Filter
The REX-CS all welded modular collectors are available in a wide range of sizes to meet your needs. The collectors come with arrays from 4 to 60 cartridges. 100% Cellulose pleated cartridges are supplied in a standard diameter of 12 ¾ " x 36" long, complete with galvanized steel end caps and removable top plate. 80/20 blend polyester felt, spun bonded polyester, Nomex and more are available as options. REX-CS collectors are inspected and the mechanical components are factory tested and are shipped completely assembled (except cartridge assemblies). Modified collectors with custom designed arrays and cartridge lengths are also available for special applications and restrictions.
The REX-CS collectors features:
- 12 ga. hot rolled steel, welded airtight and stiffened to withstand ±20" w.g. differential pressure. Collectors can be modified to meet higher suction/pressure or higher temperature requirements
- Pyramid hopper(s) with minimum 60 degree side slope
- Spun aluminum venturi, easily accessible from the filter access doors
- Slide-In Cartridge filters with innovative lift locking mechanism
- No tools required for filter changes
- Hinged filter access doors for cartridge installation and removal
- Bolted inspection door on clean air side of dust collector
- Flanged hopper inlet with 11 ga. perforated plate inlet baffle for even air distribution
- Dust collector is supported with angle iron legs and cross-braced wherever necessary, providing 5'-0" clearance under the hopper discharge flange.
- Surfaces are cleaned to SSPC-3 and painted on all exterior surfaces with one (1) coat of standard primer and one (1) coat of Amerex Blue finish paint.
- 1 ½ diameter Double Diaphragm Valves
- Manifold pipes with quick release couplings
- 5" diameter Air Reservoir
- 120 VAC pilot solenoid valves in NEMA 4 enclosure
- One (1) timer board and one (1) differential pressure switch mounted in a NEMA 4 enclosure.
The dust laden air enters the collector through the hopper or housing section.
The dust laden air is distributed by an inlet baffle to reduce the air velocity and distribute the air flow which creates a uniform flow. The dust is deposited on the exterior surface of a pleated cartridge filter and is exhausted through the open top.
Once a sufficient thickness (cake) of dust is built up, on the outside of the cartridge, the dust is removed by a pulse of compressed air from the end of the cartridge. The pulses of compressed air are controlled by a timer or optionally by a controller that cleans the cartridges only when the dust cake is sufficiently thick (by measuring the pressure across the collector).
The dust that falls into the hopper is removed by material handling equipment.
Efficiencies up to 99.9% are achievable.
